Fly on the Wall - Pt 24“Gaz is here”
Zim wasn't shocked to hear the computer announce this, especially after he said that Gaz had left her house immediately after her discussion with those investigator's. He once again replaced his pak upon his back and went to try and intercept her.
He didn't have to go far when he spotted her close to one of the lower base entrance's. He smirked when he noticed she didn't look as dead as earlier, however his smirk dropped as soon as she yelled out his name. He didn't need to risk her getting too angry, especially in his base, “What?”
Gaz turned at him she wasn't tensed for attacking, and there wasn't a single hint of glow anywhere. Zim considered this a good sign. He didn't have much time to prepare himself for the question he knew was coming.
“What exactly happened last night? You clearly know more than you're letting on. Given your vague hints from this morning.”
Zim looked away from Gaz, he didn't like the look in her eyes, it w
Fly on the Wall - Pt 23This was ridiculous he was probably just sleeping or out doing some stupid paranormal investigator thing. The last thing she needed right now was to hunt him down just to have him lecture her. Yet she found her feet were making their way silently to his room. She stopped herself just before she was going to knock on his door. What was wrong with her? She wasn't acting like herself at all. She didn't want to encourage Dib to talk to her anymore than he already did.
She turned to go back to her own room when she spotted the box from last night with Gwendolyn Annette scrawled on the side. She went over to it and pulled out the picture of the smiling girl who looked like herself. This must be Gwendolyn.
Gaz continued to dig through the box, it was filled with what seemed like hundreds of photographs of this girl. Some even included her father who, Gaz noticed for the first time, looked remarkably like Dib. A new set of uncomfortable skin crawls started to form along Gaz's muscles as she lo

Gaz's skin crawled uncomfortably over her muscles as Zim finished his sentence. She wasn't sure if it was his tone of voice or the look across his face, but she knew he wasn't kidding around, and that made her stomach churn even more. She wanted to get angry, she wanted to scream at him that she wasn't a piece of meat that could be claimed. However all she could do was recall how he'd acted at skool with Tork and knew his arguments would be much the same.
She needed to get out of his house and away from him. Hesitantly she took a silent step back, unsure of what he'd do. She knew how just how possessive he could be, heck he'd saved the earth just because he wasn't the one who was calling the shots, how did that translate to his possessive attitude towards Gaz. She eyed Zim cautiously as she continued to step back, he didn't seem to move, just watched her. She couldn't s
Fly on the Wall PT 21Zim looked around as he tried to think of a plan, as things currently were it didn't seem like he stood much of a chance and he was not fond of that thought. He didn't have long to think when he heard what could only be sirens growing louder in the distance. He didn't care what happened to the officers themselves but if they came across Gaz like this what would happen? He needed to get her away from here, and the best way he could see to do that was to turn tail and run.
As he ran he could feel the street shift beneath him and loud cracking, he looked down to see new cracks in the street forming beneath his feet. He attempted to increase his speed as he turned down an alleyway, jumping a fence in order to do so. He'd nearly made it to the end of the alley when he heard the gate crash, he looked over his shoulder to see just how close Gaz was to not see her at all. Looking ahead again he saw Gaz blocking his current course.
“Shiiit,” he yelled as the mechanical arms ex
Fly on the Wall PT 19“God, it can't possibly get any worse can it?” groaned a tall young man with tan hair wearing a black suit accented by a pale blue boutonniere and tie. He collapsed against the door frame of the decorated gym, a small grimace crossing his face.
“Would you people stop saying that!” One of the girls said as she slapped the young mans shoulder looking almost frightened. “Every time one of you does something happens.”
“Oh stop being so paranoid, I'm sure everything will get better” Beth Ann spoke up in her perkiest voice yet, smiling brightly for her friends before turning and grabbing Gaz by the upper arm and heading towards the coat check. “If you'll just excuse us for a minute.”
Once the two girls were out of ear shot from the rest of the group, Beth Ann swung Gaz around so that they were face to face, “What the hell do you think you're doing?”
Gaz didn't answer, nor did she acknowledge Beth Ann, she crossed her arm
Fly on the Wall Pt 18Gaz grimaced at herself in the mirror. Somehow the preps had found a black and green dress in an old box. The bodice wrapped around Gaz's shoulders and didn't exactly hug her frame, while the green skirt portion landed awkwardly around her hips, the big bow over her left hip where the green fabric bunched up to just accented the fact that her hips weren't that wide. Her hair was attempted to be curled but now it just looked like it hadn't quite dried yet as the curls deflated. The only aspect of her makeover that Gaz even began to like was the black eyeliner and shadow that somehow made her eyes look even more gold.
Gaz eyed the box they'd found in her Dad's room. Why was he keeping a dress in there, anyway? She walked over to it, it was too big to have just contained the dress, the name Gwendolyn Annette was scrawled in black marker on the side of it. Could this maybe have belonged to her mom? Her dad never discussed anything about the woman that would have given birth to her and her
